Value Proposition - Build a Successful Startup 

This course is about developing your valuee proposition. We will introduce you to a couple tools used by top startups everywhere to structure their strategies and then dive into how you can start making real progress on your business.  

A robust and impactful Value Proposition is essential for any business to effectively engage and connect with customers, partners and stakeholders by communicating clearly how they are different, better and worth purchasing from.

It is more than a set of words, more than a set of marketing messages. It is the framework for how the business aligns its activities and output with its target customers’ needs to deliver a compelling experience that can ultimately be monetized. In this respect, the Value Proposition is key to validating your business idea; both as you startup and as you grow.

John is also the founder of Get2Growth which supports startups and early-stage businesses with Marketing to enable them to craft their stories, build a brand, go-to-market, gain traction and drive real, sustainable customer and revenue growth.


This session provides a proven formula to discover, build and realize your Value Proposition.

- Framework for discovering and constructing your initial Value Proposition
- Understanding of how the Value Proposition fits with your wider development and marketing initiatives
- Guidance on testing and optimizing your Value Proposition

You’ll leave with a few new tools for thinking about early stage tech startups, and hopefully a whole lot of clarity about your own ideas!   If we’re successful, you’ll leave with a clear sense of how to begin making real progress on your business--this week instead of this year.

Course Plan:

We’ll alternate between brief lectures and small group workshops to get comfortable with tools, plus bits of individual work to apply the tools to your own business ideas.
