Dreamstake Academy is an education and mentorship program that provides ‘wantrepreneurs’ and early-stage startup teams with the knowledge, insights, tools and support to refine their ideas, develop a business model, set-up their business, take it to market, and create the foundations and conditions to scale for sustainable growth.

PIMP Your Project - Perfection In Managing Projects

Anyone wanting to move their startup from the concept stage through to implementation will benefit from this workshop:

  • Want to understand how to plan a successful project ?
  • How to work with a technical team as non-technical founder ?
  • Trying to bring some structure into your chaotic startup environment ?
  • Do you have questions about how to work more efficiently with your distributed team ?

Course Leader:

Ralph Stenzel, CTO of Dreamstake, has helped many startups to structure their requirements, manage their projects and build successful teams. By merging diverse experiences from successful (and failed) startup projects with a long background in managing technical development and teams in corporate environments at Deloitte, Siemens and Reed Elsevier, he has the unique ability to apply no-nonsense techniques to create realistic plans, increase productivity and reduce project failures.

Benefits:

Attending this workshop will help you avoiding mistakes and creating more accurate time lines and costings and manage expectations of all stakeholders. We will de-mystify some common phrases like “Agile” and look at no-nonsense real life startup examples. You will learn how to create a basic project plan for a typical web project. You will learn about the right amount of documentation for your project. There will be tips about useful methods and tools, and also which tools to avoid.

Course structure:

The workshop will consist of a mix of short lessons with individual or group exercises, and you will have the opportunity to ask questions about your specific startup scenarios and challenges.
